My name is Martin Haghani, and God has called me to serve as the pastor of a new church in Las Vegas called Iranian Baptist Church. My wife and I both grew up in Iran, and God did radical work in our marriage. He brought us to Las Vegas, and we have dedicated our lives to serving the Lord. I was born in Iran on July 18,1948, into a Muslim and Jewish family. My father was Jewish and my mother Muslim. In Iran, Muslims comprise 99 percent of the population with Christians and Jews suffering from great oppression. I speak, read, and write Hebrew, Farsi and English, which has put me in a unique position. Our dream is to connect people to God and the church through community outreach. We want to reach Muslims, both Iranian and from all walks of life, to becoming new believers and help them grow in their faith. “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).
